Education. Community. Empowerment.

Our common enemy is lung cancer. But there is strength in numbers, especially when we have a united voice.

- Dusty Donaldson
LiveLung Founder

Welcome to LiveLung!

Lung cancer may be the most misunderstood of all diseases. Most people know very little about lung cancer until it directly impacts their lives. Although the lung cancer landscape had been dismal for decades, positive change has finally come and more is on the horizon. In recent years, increasing public awareness, screening guidelines, and research breakthroughs have led to more effective treatments, which significantly extend and improve the lives of many impacted by the disease. There is much more to be done, but we are making progress every day.

Founded by lung cancer survivor, Dusty Donaldson, in 2010, LiveLung is on a mission to improve health outcomes by advancing lung cancer education, early detection, and compassion for people impacted by lung cancer. We do this by hosting a network of monthly educational community lung cancer patient groups. We provide resource bags, called Hope Totes, to dozens of cancer centers where nurse navigators give them to newly diagnosed lung cancer patients. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving the lung cancer community.

Give

Thank you for supporting us in our mission of improving health outcomes by advancing lung cancer education, early detection, and compassion for people impacted by lung cancer and bringing together patients, caregivers, providers, and researchers to create an informational and understanding environment. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, here to serve the lung cancer community. While we gratefully accept donations, we do not solicit donations during our meetings from lung cancer patients or caregivers. Our philosophy is that we are here to serve the lung cancer community—not the other way around.

We are thankful for your generosity. In giving to LiveLung, you will be signed up for our newsletter so you can stay up to date with LiveLung activities. We promise not to email too often, not to email solicitations for additional donations, and you can opt-out at any time.
