"From a doctor's perspective, what we are trained for is medical surveillance...So, if you feel like "Oh my gosh, I'm asking these questions and my doctor doesn't know the answer, that's a correct experience. One, because we don't have a lot of research on what is the evidence-based practice for caring for lung cancer survivors, and also because we're not trained in that."

About the Speaker Stacy Wentworth, MD Assistant Professor, Wake Forest School of Medicine Medical Director, Cancer Survivorship, Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Comprehensive Cancer Center Stacy Wentworth, MD, is a Professor of Radiation Oncology and Medical Director of Cancer Survivorship at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Comprehensive Cancer Center. She is a “Triple Deac,” having graduated from Wake Forest University in 2000 and Wake Forest University School of Medicine in 2004, then completed her radiation oncology residency in 2009. She returned in 2018 as faculty. Stacy provides compassionate, evidence-based radiation oncology services to cancer patients and leads our growing cancer survivorship program.
